Chelsea Rice - Editor-In-Chief

Chelsea is an associate editor for HealthLeaders Media. She began her work for StudentBranding  just before graduating from Boston University, where she studied journalism and minored in international relations. The summer after graduation, she found her first job and began working as an editorial assistant at Alloy Education for magazines like Careers and CollegesMinority Nurse, and Private Colleges & Universities. During her time at Alloy, she was promoted to assistant editor, online specialist and helped to develop the company’s new website for Alloy Education, CollegeXpress.com. In her career, Chelsea has written about personal branding, blogging, health care disparities, cyberbullying, and online entrepreneurship.  In college, she worked as an editorial and social media intern for MySecretBoston.com, a website that uses social media and interactive articles to highlight the secrets behind Boston’s great neighborhoods. Olivia LeClair – Associate Blog Editor

Olivia is a junior at Bentley University studying Information Design and Corporate Communication. On campus, she is a tour guide, writing tutor, and peer facilitator for Bentley’s First Year Seminar class. She also writes a book review column, “Between the Lines,” for Bentley’s student newspaper, The Vanguard, and is the Executive Vice President of Editorial for Her Campus Bentley, an online magazine for college women. Olivia edits each post for the Her Campus Bentley site and also contributes her own articles on topics ranging from interview advice to the latest campus trends. She will be studying abroad in the spring at Royal Holloway, University of London and cannot wait to travel. In her spare time, Olivia enjoys reading, writing, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and going to Disney World (she’s obsessed). Trish Freshwater - Sodexo

Trish is a senior communications manager for Sodexo, a world leader in quality of daily life solutions that contribute to the progress of individuals and the performance of organizations. As a member of the marketing and communications team for Sodexo’s Talent Acquisition department since 2010, Trish is an employment expert who aims to educate job candidates about the hiring process, networking opportunities and the culture of Sodexo. A graduate of Marist College (BA – Psychology) and the University of Southern Mississippi (MS – Public Relations), Trish has never been far from the classroom. As a former adjunct professor for the College of Charleston and professional advisor for the college’s Public Relations Student Society of America chapter, she enjoys helping students reach for their potential and guide them through the process of preparing for their future careers. Sejal Patel – Intel

Sejal is a Recruitment Marketing Project Manager at Intel. She is part of the team that is responsible for Intel’s global employment brand. This team helps connect candidates with Intel and Intel with candidates using channels such as the Jobs at Intel web site, the Life at Intel microsite and other Web 2.0 channels. Sejal specifically manages the Jobs at Intel Blog and Intel’s recruitment Facebook strategy. Originally from Toronto, Ontario (yes—a real, breathing Canadian!), Sejal graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with her Bachelor’s in Communications before starting at Intel in 2008. When she’s not working, you’ll find Sejal working at crossing things off of her Bucket List (which includes skydiving, reading 1000 books and traveling the world), eating cupcakes or spending time with family and friends. Andrea Sabia – Viacom

Andrea currently holds the position of Manager of College Relations for Viacom. Viacom is one of the world’s leading creators of entertainment content, with brands that engage and connect diverse audiences across television, online, mobile, games, virtual worlds and consumer products. With more than 160 channels worldwide, Viacom owns and operates favorites including MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and many others. As Manager, Andrea recruits, interviews, and places intern candidates throughout Viacom’s brands and divisions. She also assists with the planning and facilitation of both internal and external events for the internship program including orientations, speaker/informational forums, and campus recruitment. Marilyn Santiesteban – Bentley University

Marilyn is the Assistant Director of Graduate and Alumni Career Services at Bentley University. She has the uncanny ability to quickly discern strengths and differentiates, and turn them into strategic career plans. She is passionate about equipping graduate students and alumni with cutting edge skills. Marilyn has a great deal of corporate experience, primarily in the technology, biotech and healthcare industries. She is a long-time user of social media (she was mentioned in Fast Company’s “Most Influential People Online 2010”), and holds degrees in Psychology and Public Administration from The Florida State University. As a child, Marilyn immigrated from Cuba, and, today, remains active in Boston’s Hispanic business community.


Megan Houlker – Babson College

Megan is the Director of the Undergraduate Center for Career Development at Babson College. As an alumna of the graduate school, Megan believes strongly in the spirit of entrepreneurship and what it can bring to the corporate world. It is her goal to bring best in class career development to college students and show them how they can combine their unique skills and personal interests to find their fit beyond the college campus. Megan has worked at Babson for 11 years providing direction to external relations strategies, career advising and thought leadership in the area of career services. Prior to joining the CCD team at Babson College, Megan managed global undergraduate recruiting for a Wall Street investment banking analyst program. Megan earned her B.A. in English from Fordham University and her M.B.A. from Babson College.


Lisa Simmons – Wake Forest

As Associate Director of Employer Experience for Wake Forest University, Lisa’s passion is connecting employers with student talent and creating a positive experience for both. She leads a university-wide Employer Experience team which is responsible for all aspects of recruiting, retention, and systems for the graduate business school.  Her strengths include relationship management, networking, social media engagement, information aggregation, process facilitation and communication. Lisa has been employed at Wake Forest since the fall of 2002.  She has over 20 years of work experience in various roles.  Prior to arriving at Wake Forest, she was an entrepreneur, venturing into web-based international sales and marketing of salvage automotive parts and accessories.  Before that, she was a trust officer in the Employee Benefit Trust area of Wachovia Bank.  Lisa is also a veteran of the United States Air Force. Harrison Kratz  - University of North Carolina

Harrison is the Community Manager at MBA@UNC, the new Online MBA program at the University of North Carolina and sticks to his entrepreneurial roots as the founder of the global social good campaign, Tweet Drive. As evidenced through his previous projects, Harrison has a passion for all things social media, philanthropy, and finding new ways for students to understand the power of a brand. Vic Massaglia – University of Minnesota

Vic has a passion for working with students and professionals who are preparing to establish careers on a global stage. He has extensive experience in leadership, career and organizational development in both the public and private sectors. Currently, he is a career counselor and adjunct associate professor for the University of Minnesota Law School, where he provides career path, job search strategy, and life-work balance counseling for law students, alumni, and foreign-trained attorneys. He is also principal of Cygnus 360, a career development consultancy that helps career counselors, career services offices, and clients with their career needs which include creating their brands using social networking tools and other technology. Jennifer Schepers – Indiana University

Jennifer is an Assistant Director at the Indiana University Career Development Center. She is deeply committed to helping students and private clients define who they want to be in this world, and then discover ways they can become that person. Her goal is to provide tools and strategies that will help them create a life that is fulfilling both personally and professionally. She works to help them define what they consider to be their strengths and unique value-add to the professional work they do and express that in a results-driven manner. She believes when they can define those things, they can much more easily identify and target employers who will have a good mutual fit throughout their careers. Jennifer works closely with employers and faculty to develop specific recruiting strategies and coordinates programming for international students and students who want to work abroad. Jessica Chance – Boston College

Jessica is the Assistant Director of Diversity Resources at the Boston College Career Center. Providing services in career counseling and education, Jessica works with students of color, international students and students with disabilities.  With a background in theatre along with counseling, Jessica thrives on empowering students to find their “story” when networking and building professional relationships. Within and beyond the campus community, she works at facilitating connections between students, staff and alumni, where students are more exposed to campus resources and potential mentors. Jessica has been at Boston College for close to four years and within that time, has also been passionate about providing first generation students with information about the college experience, and how to use that as a foundation to find a career path. Prior to joining Boston College, she worked with Keystone Associates, and did extensive work in the theatre. Jessica has a BFA in Acting from Emerson College, and a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University.

Kevin Kaiser

Kevin is a dental student at the University of Missouri – Kansas City, where he’ll graduate from in 2016 with his DDS degree. He is already a graduate of the University of Missouri system in Columbia (Mizzou) obtaining a degree is Biology with University Honors. Daniel Hallak 

Daniel is an expert in job searching, career counseling, and résumé writing. Having worked in recruiting at Microsoft and in career advising through several colleges and universities, he practices everything he preaches as he models intentional career management and personal branding. Currently he is the Professional Development Specialist for an innovative 11-month Master’s degree in Management and Social/Sustainable Business that transforms liberal arts graduates into highly polished young professionals. Last year, by building relationships with hundreds of recruiters and hiring managers he placed 100% of his students in jobs (good ones!) within three weeks of graduation.
