Show Me Your Personal Brand

Bret L. Simmons: Show Me Your Personal Brand from Bret Simmons on Vimeo.

Are you a current student or recent graduate actively practicing personal branding? Would you be willing to share with the readers of this blog what you are doing and your insights into personal branding?

If so, contact me. Send an e-mail to me at Show me your brand and describe what you are doing, why you are doing it that way, and the results you are getting or hope to get. Make sure to include your contact information so I can respond to you. If I like what I see, I’ll showcase you and your brand here on this site.

The most common examples we see of personal branding are celebrities, athletes, or authors. I’m tired of that. I think personal branding is for real people just like you and me, and I want to see more discussion of those types of brands.

So here is your invitation – show me your brand.

Bret Simmons is an Assistant Professor of Management in the College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), where he teaches courses in organizational behavior, leadership, and personal branding to both undergraduate and MBA students. He has a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University. Bret practices personal branding at his website Positive Organizational Behavior where he blogs about leadership, followership, and personal branding. His purpose is “to change your mind about the value of partnering with others to build healthy, responsible organizations where everyone can thrive.” You can also find Bret on Twitter, Facebook, and Linkedin.
